They thought of him as their source for sweet treats (candy, cookies), a dollar bill and loose change. He had a loving and giving heart for children, especially his young nieces and nephews. After serving in the Army, he returned to his home in Vicksburg, Mississippi and became an apprentice in masonry working alongside his father, grandfather and uncles in the family business.īecause of his flair for dressing and his cool shades, he was affectionately given the name of “Stevie Lee” by one of his siblings. He served in the United States Army for several years. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist church. Wayne left this earthly home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, peacefully at home. He worked as a self-employed painter, a job that he loved.
